Six NSU Division of Student Affairs staff members were featured in an article published in the July issue of the Women in Higher Education newsletter, regarding the challenges of serving adult learners in higher education.
A unique student-retention approach by NSU’s Sheena Zawacki, Cathy O’Brien, Joe Pokraka, Lorrenza Vandiver, Sholondo Campbell, and Corey Campbell—which they presented at the 2013 NASPA* Annual Conference in March—was highlighted as a noteworthy way of engaging adult learners at NSU’s Student Educational Centers.
*NASPA is a national association for Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education.
